River & Bean, Ayr
Fundraising Partnerships
Raise funds through coffee, treats and useful local trade.
Current position
Private cafe space. Booking-led, partner-friendly and not currently open daily for public drop-in use.
New online services. Booking, subscriptions and home delivery launch on 11th September 2026.
River & Bean can work with charities, clubs, community groups, schools, student groups, social enterprises and for-good projects to create fundraising campaigns using coffee, drinks service and Happy Coo Confection Co products.
The aim is simple: sell things people actually want, share the proceeds transparently, and avoid fundraising that feels like everyone has been emotionally cornered into buying a pen.
Fundraising Routes
River & Bean coffee selections
Partner organisations can promote selected coffees, bundles or subscriptions, with an agreed support amount or profit-share.
Proper Coffee service
Useful for events, meetings, pop-ups, training days and partner sessions where proper coffee service would help raise funds or improve the experience.
Propa Cuppa drinks service
A practical drinks service route for meetings, events, fundraisers and community sessions.
Happy Coo Confection Co
Happy Coo sweets and treats can be used for fundraising boxes, event stock, bundles, collection campaigns or partner promotions.
Booking-linked fundraising
Eligible organisations may combine venue hire, drinks service, product sales and ticketing or donation routes into one clear fundraising model.
Ticketed events and event merch
Subject to agreement and suitability, organisers may create events and sell tickets, event merch, drinks or fundraising products through the River & Bean system.
This can help cover the event hire, raise money for the organiser, support River & Bean and contribute to the Fresh Ayr Fund in one joined-up route.
Organisers may also take payment themselves in cash or through their own payment provider, while using River & Bean to manage the event listing, tickets and attendance where agreed.
Where the Support Goes
Depending on the arrangement, fundraising support can go to:
- the partner organisation
- a specific project or campaign
- the River & Bean Fresh Ayr Fund
- a split between the partner and the Fresh Ayr Fund
All partner arrangements should be agreed clearly in advance.
What River & Bean Can Provide
Depending on the campaign, River & Bean may provide:
- products
- drinks service
- online product listings
- collection or delivery windows
- event support
- event listing and ticket setup where agreed
- attendance list management where agreed
- event merch setup where agreed
- venue hire
- promotional copy
- transparent profit-share terms
- basic fulfilment support
What Partners Need to Provide
Partners should be ready to provide:
- organisation details
- fundraising purpose
- ticket prices or payment route
- merch/product needs
- lead contact
- campaign dates
- audience or supporter base
- promotion support
- any required permissions or safeguarding information
- payment and reporting requirements
This keeps the arrangement clear and stops everyone discovering at the worst possible moment that "we'll sort it later" is not an operational plan.
Event Deposit and Refund Basics
Ticketed events require at least 72 hours notice, River & Bean approval, and a non-refundable hire deposit before ticket sales begin.
Full event hire payment is required before the event starts. At River & Bean's discretion, ticket sales processed through our system may be used toward the hire balance.
If an event is cancelled, ticket purchases made through River & Bean will be refunded to ticket buyers. Organisers using River & Bean payment processing must agree to reimburse or be re-billed for refunds, reversals, chargebacks and post-event payment issues linked to their event.
Fresh Ayr Fund
A minimum of 1% of every River & Bean transaction goes to the River & Bean Fresh Ayr Fund.
Fundraising campaigns can also choose to direct additional support to the Fresh Ayr Fund, or split support between a partner organisation and the fund.
